
Melissa has been working in the public accounting field since 2006. She started working for Leigh A. Hogan CPA, PC as a college intern, and after graduating from University of Denver in 2010 she began working as a full time employee. Melissa's bookkeeping work includes bank reconciliations, accounts receivable functions, data entry, sales tax preparation and credit card reconciliations for multiple clients. She uses both QuickBooks and Peachtree software in addition to Microsoft Office. In 2009 Melissa received certification in Excel 2007. Aside from bookkeeping, Melissa is also the office's administrative assistant and handles various office tasks in addition to providing support for the other employees.
During the summer months from 2008-2011 Melissa worked as a teacher's assistant with Horizons Summer Enrichment Program. The program is a non-profit organization for children in grades K-8 from low socioeconomic families which helps the children to stay in school.
Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Denver.
